The beginning of exploration with the pottery wheel. Getting to know clay and how it feels, attaches together, and changes during the firing process in the kiln. Students will move through all the steps of the pottery process, throwing, trimming, and glazing. If time permits the instructor will introduce one of their favorite decorating processes.
