Continuing Wheel/Independent Study - Adult

This class is for people that have taken multiple beginner classes and are comfortable centering and throwing basic forms on the pottery wheel. Students at this level will continue to work on previous skills. 

The instructor may choose to demonstrate a skill or challenge. Students can decide whether they would like to participate or work on an individual project with help from the instructor. Challenges may include teapots, covered jars, juicers, quick skill building tasks, etc.

Students typically complete around 3-5 pieces to fire and glaze.

Class fee includes 1, 12 lb bag of clay, glaze, tools, all firings, and 2 open studio passes. 

Open studio passes must be used within 2 weeks following the last class date.  All pieces must be picked up within 2 months after last class date.

• Monday 6:30-8:30pm March 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, April 7th, 14th (Julie) FULL
• Tuesday 6:30-8:30pm March 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th, April 8th, 15th (Julie)
• Saturday 11am-1pm March 15th, 29th, April 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th (Taryn)

Spring II:

• Monday 6:30-8:30pm May 5th, 12th, 19th, June 2nd, 9th, 16th (Julie) 
• Tuesday 6:30-8:30pm May 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th, June 3rd, 10th (Julie)
• Saturday 11am-1:30pm May 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st, June 14th (Taryn) (5 weeks, 2 1/2hours)

Summer Super Session:

Summertime is full of fun and chaotic schedules, so we are bringing back our Summer Super Session!  This session comes with more open studio times and recorded classes just in case you miss a class because of your summer fun! Each Summer Super student has 6 open studio passes to use during the June 17th- August 29th time frame. 25 pounds of clay and firing fees are included.  Additional clay and firing fees can be purchased.
