Do you have space to spread out and friends who share your interest in playing in clay?
At the studio, we are working to bring the pottery studio to you in person(socially distanced and masks, of course)!!
Description: In this 6 class session, students will be part of the whole ceramic process, working with wet clay, learning about the firing process, and then glazing their pieces to create functional works of art. We will complete 3 projects that will help teach basic handbuilding skills such as slab construction and pinch pots.
Each class will be approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes; day, time, and location TBD with participants. Minimum of 5 participants per session. Location of the session must be within a 10 mile radius of the studio.
Projects we will be working on in the Fall I session are clay self portraits, leaf bowls, and pinch pot animals.
Materials: The studio will provide clay and glazes due to firing and kiln requirements. These will all be individually packaged for each student. Other tools will be sanitized and provided by the studio.
If you would like to purchase all new tools to keep that you need for the session, the studio can provide a materials kit for $40.
If you would like to purchase your own tools a list can be provided for the session.
**Please specify your tool option in the drop down menu.**
